I wholeheartedly believe that the power of massage therapy can relieve us of many ailments we come across in our lives. I love helping others begin restorative effects through massage therapy so they may enjoy their lives to the fullest. I am constantly learning and expanding my horizons in my field to better serve my clients.
I took the first steps toward my career in massage in 1997 at the Baltimore School of Massage in Maryland and completed a 100 hour certified basic program. After relocating to Mooresville, soon after I enrolled at the Southeastern School of Massage and Neuromuscular Therapy of Charlotte; graduating from the 500 hour program in 2000.
I also have received certification in Manual Lymphatic Drainage (Vodder Technique) from the Academy of Lymphatic Studies.
Throughout most of my career I have practiced deep tissue massage & Neuromuscular work, and now exclusively practice Manual Lymphatic massage and Swedish massage. What led my path to change were a few things but mainly the benefit I received after having lymphatic massage myself.
In 2021, I had breast implants removed and sought out lymphatic massage to help heal from surgery. That's when I came to Lymphatic Wellness and Massage and met Kathy and Rachel. They are the most compassionate, caring and knowledgeable therapist. I was amazed by how I felt after each session. I felt energized yet relaxed, and my swelling was reducing with each session. Soon after I became certified in MLD and joined both of these ladies at Lymphatic Wellness and massage.
Not only has lymphatic massage helped me recover after surgeries but has also has helped me with IBS symptoms, BII (breast implant illness), my metabolism and my overall well-being.
Outside of helping others through massage therapy, I enjoy spending time with my family, cooking, and spending time outdoors.
