Specializing in Manual Lymphatic Drainage and Swedish Massage.

"It is my goal to help my clients restore BALANCE to their lives. When I think of balance, I think of stability, peace and harmony. A state of equality that leads to a happy and healthy contented life."    Amy Smith LMBT, MLD-C

I believe in perceiving  the body as a whole and use massage and it's many modalities to promote healing from injuries,  recovery from surgery, reduce scar tissue formation and alleviate the effects of everyday aches and pains. All of which have an impact on our mental and physical growth as human beings. I fully engage in a one on one approach with each of my clients to initiate a healing, relaxing, therapeutic atmosphere.

My specialty is in Manual Lymphatic massage and Swedish massage. I have taken a particular interest in helping people recover from surgery, especially cosmetic/plastic surgery. Surgery is a major event that affects the body on several levels physically and mentally. It is important to follow instructions from your doctor, (especially aftercare from surgery) and ask if lymphatic massage would be beneficial for you. I have experienced for myself, as well as seen in person how Lymphatic massage can help reduce swelling, fluid retention, and promote faster recovery.

In general Lymphatic massage is a safe, and effective treatment for post-operative swelling & bruising as well as other conditions such as Lymphedema, breast cancer surgery, Rheumatoid arthritis, Fibromyalgia, Sinus issues, Lipedema, headache issues, and more. Always consult your doctor to see if Lymphatic massage is right for you.

Some conditions where it is not recommended are...

Heart conditions, kidney failure, blood clots, or if you have an infection.

24 hour advance notice is required when canceling an appointment. This allows the opportunity for someone else to schedule an appointment. If you are unable to give 24 hours notice you will be charged 50% of your appointment. This must be paid prior to your next scheduled appointment.

Anyone who either forgets or consciously chooses to forgo their appointment for whatever reason will be considered a "no-show". They will be charged for their "missed" appointment.

Late Arrivals

If you arrive late, your session may be shortened in order to accommodate others whose appointments follow yours. Depending upon how late you arrive, your therapist will then determine if there is enough time remaining to start treatment. Regardless of length of the treatment actually given, you will be responsible for the "full" session. Out of respect and consideration to your therapist and other customers, please plan accordingly and be on time.

Thank you,
